One person is dead after a head-on collision in Vaughan, police say.
York Regional Police said two vehicles were involved in a “serious” head-on collision on Teston Road on Wednesday.

Toronto Police Staff Sgt. Stephen Yan, told Global News that officers received a call just after 5 p.m.
β€œIt appears that one vehicle was eastbound and one was westbound when one of the vehicles crossed the centerline and collided with the other vehicle,” he said.

and Weston Rd in Vaughan. Please avoid the area and take alternate routes. YRP will update when roads reopen.

Yan said both drivers were treated at the scene by emergency services. One was released. The other was taken to a nearby hospital but died en route.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
