Missouri man accused of threatening Pennsylvania State Police: DOJ – pennlive.com

A 24-year-old man from Missouri is charged with making threats to Pennsylvania State Police, the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District announced Tuesday.
Damien Smith Birge, of Neosho, Mo., is accused of calling the state police barracks in Stroudsburg on Nov. 18 and making threats against law enforcement, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
These calls were recorded and included Smith-Birge referencing a Dec. 2020 shooting that involved an officer in Monroe County, according to the statement.
Smith-Birge was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on charges of interstate threats, according to authorities.
He was taken before a federal magistrate judge on Tuesday, but it was unclear if he was being held or extradited to Pennsylvania.
