Police calling on information, sightings of New Plymouth couple wanted in relation to stabbing – Stuff.co.nz


Police have released information on the couple wanted in connection to the stabbing of a 19-year-old in New Plymouth at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Cook St, Marfell, for an assault around 2.25pm on Sunday.
A 19-year-old man was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital in a critical condition.
On Wednesday, police said information was sought on the whereabouts of Tema Ratana, 37, and Mihiata Morgan, 27, both of New Plymouth, as they had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

They are believed to be travelling in a grey 2013 Mercedes van, registration MWU467, and are believed to have been in the Tauranga area.
Ratana and Morgan should not be approached, police said.
Any sightings of the couple, or information as to their whereabouts, can be reported to 111 quoting file number 211121/2364.
Around midday on Wednesday, a Taranaki District Health Board spokesperson said the 19-year-old remained in Taranaki Base Hospital in a stable condition.
